HOSTESS
CONNECTIONS
CHECK IN AND BUILD THE EXCITEMENT

The party’s getting closer, and so it’s time to make sure your hostess understands the party rules and is inviting lots of guests and collecting preorders!

  • HOW MANY CONNECTIONS

The number of times you reach out directly to your hostess will depend on the length of time before the party. A good rule is to touch base once per week. If the party is in three weeks, two connections (plus the first and final call) should be plenty!

  • BUSINESS PARTNERS

You may think your hostess is hearing enough from you via your connections with the party guests, but keep in mind that your hostess is special—she’s your business partner for this party! Just like any business venture, you’ll need to have regular check-ins to make sure the party is going as planned.

  • CONNECTION OUTLINE

    • Use hostess’s preferred method of communication
    • Keep it short to hold her interest
    • Check on attendance
    • Explain party rules/needs:
      • Private shopping room
      • Table for demo products
      • No men or children in the house
    • Discuss online orders, remind her of shopping link
    • Ask if she has questions
    • You’ll touch base next week
  • REMEMBER HER WHY

When discussing attendance and sales, whenever you can, refer back to your hostess’s WHY for the party. This will guide you as you motivate her to make the party even bigger and better!

If her WHY is seeing her friends

“I know how excited you are to see all the girls from your last job—have you heard back from Stacey? No? Well, from what you tell me, it just won’t be a party without her there! Why don’t you check in with her personally and let her know you really hope to see her there?”

If her WHY is free product

“Sounds like you’re doing great so far! Just as a reminder, your wish list is $100, so if you want to get everything on it for free, you’ll want a $1,000 party. The average order is $50, so that works out to 20 guests. Since only 12 women have gotten back to you, I think it’s time to start checking in with people personally. Why don’t we start with Stacey? I bet she’d be willing to help a friend earn some free goodies!”
